Blogging - a new lease of life ?

Hi ! Sometimes I wonder why suddenly I take to blogging at this stage of my life. You see, I am already 68 years "young" ( still refusing to admit that I am old ). When news got around that I started blogging, relatives expressed surprise and some found it amusing. Friends simply looked askance as if to say " what are you trying to prove ? "

Well, I am not trying to prove anything. I am only trying to remain useful, to stay relevant and to live an active, meaningful and healthy life. At the least, I have created for myself a new interest - a new hobby ya ? Whatever it is, it has definitely rekindled and reactivated my otherwise slowly but surely degenerating mind. Ha ha ! And I thought I was useless !

Can any liked-minded souls give some suggestions or impetus to motivate me to stay the course ?
